Meet the speaker: Hector Baños Cervantes

Hector is from Mexico (born and raised). He moved from Mexico to the US in 2014 to do his PhD at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. Currently, he is an assistant professor at California State University, San Bernardino. His main research is on mathematical phylogenetics.
