Meet the speaker: Horacio Lopez-Nicora
Horacio Lopez-Nicora, originally from Asunción, Paraguay, earned his B.Sc. in Agronomy from Universidad Nacional de Asunción, an M.S. in Crop Sciences from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and both a Master of Applied Statistics (M.A.S.) and Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from Ohio State. He is currently an Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University, focusing on improving soybean health through plant pathology and nematology. Before joining Ohio State in 2021, he held various academic positions in South America, and he continues to serve as an adjunct professor in Colombia and Paraguay.
